Ian Robinson is a Chartered Structural Engineer and company Director with over 30 years experience working as a Structural Engineer within the Construction Industry.
He is responsible for the development and provision of a diverse range of engineering based services.
With his wealth of experience and knowledge he has developed a unique insight of those factors which are key to delivering successful projects.
His wide range of skills and talents are rarely found in other similar practices, extending well beyond those commonly associated with Structural Engineers. The effectiveness of the service delivery is ensured through his skills of innovation and resourcefulness.
Being an extremely practical engineer, he realises the importance of keeping designs simple and elegant.

Ian has comprehensive skills in; structural detailing, analysis and design, specifications, process management, building assessments and investigations, site inspections and contract administration associated with both new-build construction, extensions and the repair/ refurbishment of existing buildings (eg. schools, residential properties, public buildings, offices and commercial buildings). He has an extensive knowledge of different types of building construction (old, new and historic) and has many years experience in the investigation and diagnosis of building defects and the preparation of repair specifications, in particular concrete repair and protection. Ian has a passion for drawing, with his drafting skills developed and perfected on a drawing board and later migrated onto AutoCad. He keeps up to date with IT developments and uses the latest Microsoft Office and specialist software packages to produce professional documents and efficient structural designs. Ian is proficient in the use of Microsoft Access which he has used to design complex databases for the management of CDM regulations, soil investigations, survey reporting, project management and risk orientated asset management.
